Phoenix Contact has released a new generation of battery pole connectors. These newest additions can support power transmission up to 1,500 V between battery modules in utility-scale and industrial-scale energy storage systems.

The user-friendly design features mechanical and color coding to prevent errors during installation and repairs. The connector is IP-rated and touch-safe for high-powered applications. The mating interface can rotate 360°, making design more flexible and providing space for other communication components on the face of the rack.

Phoenix Contact also has new connectors for residential storage applications that are particularly suitable for use on battery inverters. The DC connectors are protected against polarity reversal and prevent mismatching in common PV connection technology and short-circuiting of the battery poles. The residential connectors are also rated at 1,500 V.
