Tigo Energy, Inc., a global leader in smart solar and energy software solutions, has announced that its full range of three-phase Tigo EI Inverters has received official certification for compliance with the PPDS P4 standards in the Czech Republic. This certification, part of the Distribution System Operation Rules (Annex 4), is essential for connecting solar inverters to the Czech electricity grid. It confirms that Tigo’s inverters meet the technical criteria set by the European Commission and recognized by local utilities.

This achievement comes at a time when rapid shutdown requirements are becoming more widespread across Europe. In the Czech Republic alone, nearly 107 MW of Tigo’s MLPE (Module Level Power Electronics) solutions were deployed in 2024, adding to the company’s strong track record with thousands of local installers over the past decade.
Building on this trusted presence in the market, Tigo has launched its EI Residential system in the Czech Republic, targeting the growing demand for home solar systems. In 2024, the country added 967 MW of residential rooftop solar capacity, creating a strong foundation for the rollout. The EI Residential system offers a comprehensive energy solution, combining solar power generation, battery storage, and advanced energy management in a single, integrated platform.

Miroslav Vavera, CEO at SUNLUX s.r.o, stated, “Tigo securing this certification for inverter operation on the grid infrastructure of the Czech Republic means that installers like us now have a reliable, all-in-one solution that is easy to install and configure, with a flexible, modular architecture that fits a wide range of residential customer needs. Beyond installation, Tigo also offers proactive monitoring through the Energy Intelligence software platform, which will significantly streamline our operations and maintenance program. For homeowners, this means a system that is always ready to deliver energy security, even during outages, elevating the role of batteries from optional add-ons to essential pillars of energy independence, all easily managed through a user-friendly app.”
Jing Tian, chief growth and revenue officer at Tigo Energy, mentioned, “As one of our strongest global markets, the expansion of the Tigo EI Residential solution into the Czech Republic is yet another sign that integrated solar-plus-storage from Tigo continues to gain momentum across Europe. This certification allows us to bring the value of an integrated home energy system that delivers real benefits to Czech homeowners and the skilled professionals who serve them.”
It includes TS4 Flex MLPE, single- and three-phase inverters, modular batteries, and the EI Link, which unifies system wiring, communication, and backup functions within one compact cabinet. Tigo has also expanded its offerings with the GO EV Charger, integrating electric vehicle charging directly into the EI system, and the GO Junction, which connects heat pumps for enhanced home energy efficiency. These features enable homeowners to manage their energy use in a smart, flexible way while supporting the transition to cleaner living.
To further support Czech installers, Tigo has made significant enhancements to the installation and commissioning processes. These improvements are informed by feedback from hundreds of professional interactions through the Tigo Green Glove Service Program. The new system setup process is faster and more intuitive, with fewer manual steps and tools designed to empower installers to deploy and maintain systems independently.
Installers and PV professionals in the Czech Republic can access a full directory of certified Tigo solar installers online. Additionally, they are invited to explore the EI Residential system in person at the Iftech Solar Fest in September 2025. Organized by Iftech, Tigo’s distribution partner, this all-day event will provide an opportunity to experience the platform’s features and benefits directly.
