In the first half of the year, BYD Group’s cumulative sales reached 2.146 million vehicles, becoming the only Chinese automaker to exceed 2 million vehicles. BYD’s new energy vehicle sales in June 2025 were 382,600 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 11.98%. Among them, the sales of pure electric vehicles were 206,900 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 42.50%; the sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 170,700 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 12.45%.

BYD also accelerated cooperation with suppliers.
In February this year, BYD held a national intelligent driving conference and launched three-level intelligent driving solutions, A/B/C. Among them, the C-level high-level intelligent driving is equipped with the Horizon Journey 6 family series. It is reported that BYD has placed a million-level chip order with Horizon.
BYD has also adopted Black Sesame Intelligent’s automotive-grade autonomous driving computing chip, which is installed in BYD’s Denza brand. Black Sesame has carried out a series of commercial cooperation with BYD, Dongfeng Group, Geely Group, FAW Group, SAIC Group, JAC Group, Bosch, Continental, Aptiv.
Meanwhile, BYD has recently invested in Zhuoyu Technology. Zhuoyu started in 2016 and was formerly the vehicle-mounted division of DJI. In January 2023, DJI’s vehicle-mounted division was officially split. Zhuoyu has officially announced that it has 9 partner car companies, including Volkswagen, BYD, FAW, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Great Wall Motors, Chery Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, Audi and BAIC Group.
